Our Curriculum
Our primary curriculum is The Creative Curriculum, a research-based, play-based program for children from birth through third grade. Teachers design purposeful activities around 38 objectives that support social, physical, cognitive, and language development, along with literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts. Classrooms are organized into interest areas such as dramatic play, art, music, blocks, library, and discovery. Children rotate through centers, take part in both large and small group instruction, and develop social skills during shared snack and lunch times.

Specials & Activities
Children attend scheduled art, music, science, and library classes. Our religion program, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, is offered to the 3s, Pre-K and 5/6 classes. Nature-based educator, Ms. Ladybug, visits every 4-6 weeks to assist with our garden and to expand the students’ knowledge of the outdoors.
Atrium
We use Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, an encounter-based method of religious formation offered in an environment called the atrium. The atrium serves as a bridge between the faith experienced at home and the faith experienced in the church. Through the use of sensorial materials and sacred scripture, children gather weekly in the Atrium with a Level One trained catechist to explore prayer, the life of the church, the geography of Israel, infancy narratives, parables of the Kingdom, Paschal Mystery, and Baptism. The underlying theme in the Level One atrium centers around the Parable of the Good Shepherd and serves to connect the child in a loving relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
